The Clare County Enterprise Community

In 1998, the Clare County community underwent countywide strategic planning and prepared a ten-year plan for revitalization. The plan, highlighting 52 benchmark goals, resulted in designation by the United States Department of Agriculture as one of 20 Round II Enterprise Communities nationwide. Now near the end of the ten year designation, the Clare County Enterprise Community is working to transition into a sustainable non-profit community development organization that can continue to make positive changes throughout Clare County long into the future to make it an ideal place for living, working, raising families, and enjoying beautiful forests, lakes, and rivers.

Since its inception, the Clare County Enterprise Community has leveraged over $54 million dollars for community projects advancing quality of life, economic development, and self-sufficiency.
